hello i have been looking at the blue thunder intake for my truck (a 64 f100 292) and i am wondering if anyone has put one on before because i was all hippy skippy about it then when i was under the hood i looked at the intake and the old light bulb flicked on to me the blue thunder intake looks alot taller than my stock two barrel intake so i closed the hood to where i could barely see and to me it looked like it was already a close call does anyone know the height of the blue thunder intake 9using a demon carberators road demon0 from the valve cover to the top of oh say the air filter on a 64 f100 292 or some thing similar was just curious? another question how much carberator is to much carborator for a stock 292 thats bored 30 over? any information would be nice thanks,

Ducky, I have the intake and a 415 CFM Holley on it in my 55 Bird . No clearance issues at all . I use a 9" round air cleaner on the carb. Been about a year now. 390 CFM to about 450 CFM is about all you want for the engine.

Lance if I were you I woould do the newer version of the Blue Thunder intake. I think it would probably be a lot better for your application and I believe has a lower profile than the 1st one John put out
