Y_Guys     Freeze plug  sprung a leak yesterday(been seeping awhile).

         Suggestions on removal? I'm pretty sure the middle is "rotted" out!

Tap it in on one side with a punch or a screwdriver then pry it out on the other side. If you get it so it is half in and half out you can grab it with a pair of channel locks and pry it out that way.  I know what I'm trying to say I just hope you can picture it.

You can also drive the plug all the way in, bring it back to the hole edgewise, grab the edge with a pair of channel locks and pry it right out.

It's easier than you think.  Tim and John are right, just hit it in on one side (inside the cup).  Many times it will turn while still in the hole (just grab and pull it out).  If it goes in all the way, no big deal, it can't go far.  Again, grab it and pull it out.

I replaced all of mine with brass.  Marine engines use them so they are available.  Clean the hole and put a little sealer around it before installing the new plug.

Y-Guys        This site is awesome,great, wonderful, etc,etc,

          I took to heart everything ya'll told me, closed my shop at 603 p.m.

          jacked it up, pulled the header. wires, oil filter, knocked the plug sideways

          pulled it out, knocked the new one in, replaced it all, and bingo one hour

          later I fired it up!            Thanks Men!!!!!
