okay, after all the pics i have of Y-blocks and such i can't find a good pic of a stock 56-57 pass. car pic of how a generator is mounted with the brackets to the block.

i just got a generator today and brackets loose.



i seem to have an alignment problem with my attempts to install it.

just want to double check it.

pleae post pic.

Since you have an unknown generator, your alignment problem may simply be caused by a wrong pulley.  There are different offsets, the T-Bird vs passenger cars come to mind, maybe trucks are different yet.
