I am curious  as to weither or not the f-code blower brackets will bolt up to a 292 cause the from what i know, the only blown y-block from the factory is the 312 in the T-birds. The reason i am asking is i seen a pic of the f-code blower bracket john mummerts site and was wondering if you could bolt up a modern centrifical blowerto it, and if you can then my olny other question would be as to what pressure the factory was pushin into these motors. Any info and imput would be  greatly appreciated.

I have a McCullouch on a 292. It's just a matter of the right brackets. Look at the VS57.com website for the different bracket styles. I've often wondered if a later Paxton would bolt up too but have never checked it out. The VS57 I am currently running has been converted to SN60 (Paxton) style nose. That seems a good indication but? I believe the VR57 is different though. Chuck

The brackets Mummert sells are repops of the original factory passenger car bracket, which means they are made to mount the original VR57 supercharger.  The SN series are not a direct bolt-on, but with a simple adaptor/spacer they can be made to fit.  I don't know about the Vortec and Procharger units.  The repop brackets will bolt on a 292, as well as the other Y Block engines.  These brackets will not work on a T-Bird, the blower would not clear the hood.

       Passenger cars had blown 312's as well. The blower was mounted on the drivers side. In the T'Bird it's mounted on the passenger's side. Yes they fit a 292. You would have to adapt an SN though, they're not exactly the same as a VR. Could be done.

     The red car at the bottom of this answer and the white car in the previous letter are both supercharged.

            Right sorry, also mention that the blower belt and sheaves are different. Whatever happened to your Holley injection idea? You could make that work.

Still got it. Once I get this thing to run decent as it is I'll play with the Pro-Jection. I still think that with a MAP sensor in the blower outlet hose and a closed loop computer it should adapt to the super charger. But as you well know I'm just guessing! No expert here!
