Thanks guys for the positive comments. Always appreciatedSmile

I can relate to your Lcamino comment. I was at a gas station one day with my 71 Ranchero when a guy looks at it and says " I didn't know pontiac ever made an Lcamino"

What do you say to someone like that?

Heck, spell check doesn't even recognize "Ranchero".

I've got a 51 Studebaker that I drive a lot and I'm always getting remarks that make me chuckle. At one of the local shows a lady was peering through the back windows and remarked to me " my dad used to have a Nash just like this!"

I ask her if that back seat looked familarSmile

My favorite so far is the "hardcore" ford guy I met at a local car show who chastised me about putting a Chevy in my truck. He saw the distributor in back and that's all he needed to get started.

I've had 4 Rancheros since 71. Wish I had a nickel for every time they were called lcaminos.

This afternoon at the Crown Victoria Association convention in Somerset, PA, two teenagers pulled into the parking lot in a late model Impala, put down their window and said, "Mind if we have a look at all these Chevy's?"

I said, "Well no, but you can look at all of these Fords." They parked their car, got out and walked around.

Talk about needing some Ford "enlightenment"??? Tongue

Mr. Mummert,

Looking for an aluminum 4bbl intake for the 312 in my 56 Merc. When will your new intake be available ? I am told that it will perform better  on a stock engine than the Blue Thunder.

Regards, Pete Wolff

People call my car a chevy all the time but on their behalf I do have a 53 chevy grill in it.  I had one elderly lady look at my car and say her dad had one of these.  Then she said it had the biggest back seat and proceeded to turn BRIGHT RED!
