I dont remember a gap when installing mine but I did make a attempt to forget everything about that but I do believe the instructions are on their website. Good luck.

Hi, My instructions say to use the "provided plastic feeler gauge" which is .030" thick. It further says that some kits have stationary modules that do not require adjustment of the air gap. While you're at it, be sure you have a ground wire from the breaker plate to the distributor housing. Good luck, Nick Brann - K.C., MO

The .030 feeler gauge they provide is plastic. It is difficult to use a steel gauge due to its being magnetically drawn to one side. Dont know but the steel feeler might be another killer .

63 If it would help and you need it, I can mail you a plastic gauge. Should be there in 2-3 days.

Brass feeler gauges are also an option. I have serveral of varying sizes that are included with the steel feeler gauge sets.
