Is your pan from a car? I have one from a 58 F-100 (flat) that I would trade.

Sounds like a car pan to me. If you replace it with a truck pan, don't forget to get the truck pickup tube, it's shorter than the one for a car pan.

Is the clearance, 4 inches, a problem? If it clears the axle you are better off as is with the front sump pan than a truck rear sump. But then I have one for a truck I would trade also.

That's a passenger car pan. The truck pan will give you a couple inches more clearance.
