I need to replace the rear slave cylinders on my 54 ford customline. The books at my parts store do not go back that far. Have the changed that much comparied to cars in the 60's? Does anyone know what ones I need to get? I appricate all the help you all have given me in the past.

If you have a NAPA store near you they list those rear cylinders under part# UP370192 and UP370193 priced online at $8.00 each. They are the same cylinders used on a 1972 Ford Galaxie 500(rear). If you do not have a NAPA store near you just ask for ones on a 72 Ford Galaxie 500.Ford used these cylinders on many models through the 50's and 60's'.By the way that is one sharp car you have. How about posting a couple of pics?

If NAPA doesn't have them, Carquest probably does. Their computer only goes back to 1962. The trick is to get someone to get the old books out. They even have pictures of brake components to make sure of what you're getting.

Glad to hear you got the cylinders. If anyone is interested Napaonline.com allows for you to lookup parts without going out the door.I find it handy to crosscheck parts like I did with the wheel cylinders.
