Does anyone know if all flywheels made with teeth welded on them the same. I'm looking for one for a 59 FOM tranny with a sealed torque converter with 4 bolts on it measuring 11 1/2" a part which I have. The flywheel has to measure 15" from tooth to tooth (diameter).
thanks, Tom

According to my interchange book there are only 2 different flexplates(flywheels) used with the Fordo in 59.The 3 speed Fordo and Cruiseamatic use one and the 2 speed Fordo and Mercomatic use another. On Ebay on item # 220544481247 is a listing for the one used with the 2 speed and the seller has dimensions listed.Have a look and see if its what you are after. Is your trans a 2 or 3 speed?

I believe the 3 speed flywheels had 4 drive lugs for the converter and the 2 speed used 3 drive lugs. Also, the shape of the dish of the flywheels differed between the two.

Thanks, everyone the flywheel on ebay won't work. You are correct the one I need has 4 drive bolts on it and is 15" in diameter. If you have any ideas of where I can find I please let me know.
thanks, Tom

The snout on the FE converter is too big to pilot in the Y crank.
