I was wondering if the Pin-Height on the Lincoln Y pistons and the Ford Y was the same.. I know that pretty much nothing interchanges with these motors but was hoping maybe this was one that did.. So a simpler way to ask the question would be can you use Lincoln Y-block (in this case a 332) pistons in a Ford Y?

The 332 compression height is .230 taller than a Y block. It would not be a bolt-in replacememt.

I remember somewhere someone selling connecting rods that mated Ford Y cylinders into a Lincoln Y, but I can't remember the displacements.

If there is enough meat in the head of the piston, and the top ring is far enough down, you could probably machine .230 off the top of the piston. Make sure the skirt clears the crankshaft counterweight at BDC.

I was afraid of that.. I was trying to find a more affordable alternative to buying 30 over 312 pistons and i came across a set of 30 over 332 pistons which have the same bore.. Oh well.. thanks
