hey guys.. my B intake manifold will be here soon so i've been keeping my eye out for a decent carb.. I ran across an ad for one on the local CL but i couldn't come up with any info on it other than what was listed.. The ad says "holley motorcraft 4bbl 600cmf #50003" Any ideas or info about it and if it will be a decent carb for a mildly built 292? Thanks in advance for the help..

According to the Carburetor Doctor, 50003 is a part number for a carb repair kit for a Holley 4180. Crosses over with repair kit CK304. http://www.carburetor.ca/carbs/kits/CK304.htm

That ‘50003’ carb is a model 4180 carb and will be off of an early Eighties Ford truck and not easily retrofitted to a smaller cubed engine partly due to it being designed around emissions requirements. Although it can be made to run, it’s not very adjustable. A better choice would be a universal model 4150 or 4160 Holley carb. Avoid using it if at all possible.

Dustin, I have a 4160 Holley you can have, it will need to be gone through though. I'll get it to you with your rockers, they are done by the way.
