I have  opportunity to purchase a 9" rear end complete w/brakes etc.(64 F100)

Is the width ok and will spring pads line up? Thx in advance....yehaabill  (my '60 F100)

I am not certain but I do not think it is a direct bolt in. 

It has been a while since I read up on this.

The 64 is a twin I beam.  The 60 is a solid axle.  A solid axle frame is narrower than a twin I beam frame.  I think that the spring pads and shock mounts will  be spread farther apart.  Because the bodies of the '61 -'66 trucks were more or less the same, and I believe the non unibody trucks (not step side.  Is that called fleet side?) of '61-'63 used the same bed that the '60 used, I think that the overall width should be fine.  Don't take my word for it though.  Seems logical.

Are you able to get any measurements?

Hi guys, I'am of the believe that Ford revised the chassie in the 60 model "effies" and it continued on into 64, books I have mention  this. I know that a lot of after market replacement parts for the front end list in groups of 57-59 and 60-64. From 60 on they are the same frame width which is 34" outside to outside so I would be very supprised if the later diff did not fit.

The 64's were still solid front axle.The twin I-beam did'nt come out until 65.The rear end and springs from a 64 will bolt right into a 60.

For your info.  '64 F100  9" rear end fits '60 F100 A-OK.
