I got my late model 4 barrel manifold all hogged out and see I will not need the auto choke heat tube. I assume I can just tap and plug it or will JB weld do the job.

Assuming you are now going to electric choke - plug it.

I would not use JB Weld to plug the holes as I do not think it will withstand the heat. If the tube is burnt out inside the manifold you will have an exhaust leak.



I usually tap the holes for a 1/8 pipe plug and install a socket head pipe plug.

Yes a 1/8 pipe tap is in the works.
