Does anyone have any good ideas for fabricating a fan shroud for the 272 in my 55 Ford? I've seen generic ones offered by J. C. Whitney, but not sure how they would attach and if the size is compatible. Wouldn't this increase cooling efficiency and also make this area a little safer for your hands? Just a thought.

I made my own shroud, it didn't do anything so I took it off, I'm constantly tweaking to get it to run cooler.....someday!!!! Gary

Hey Prof. Vintage Air has a good selection of shrouds. Get their catallog or check their website,,, theri -- measure your rad fin area, pick a shroud that is closest!! Some of them do not have the big hole for the fan-- remove the fan, mount the schroud using the water pump as acemter point, cut and dress the opening, remmber you want the fan 1/2 in and 1/2 out of shroud. Hope this helps!!! Good Luck!!! God Bless Eddie
