It's a little pricy, but nice.

I have the original version, I guess pro crimp I. I used them to crimp my 8mm Pertronix wires. You can also buy other dies for crimping weatherpack terminals, insulated terminals, non-insulated terminals, and deutsch terminals. So far, I've used all but the deutsch crimpers and it is sweet.

The MSD wire kits I have seen have a crimping tool included which you use with a vise. The tool does not do as nice a job as the pliers set they sell does. Makes a very nice crimp.

Some of the auto parts sellers have a tool rent or tool loan, check them out if you cannot borrow the pliers.

Check the lengths of the wires you are getting as the y-blocks take a fairly long set to go around the back of the engine and down under. Most of the after market sets sold are too short to some of the cylinders

I have used Taylor wires on my cars and am happy with them. Taylor has a crimping tool that you can by, not very expensive that i remember. Easy to use and haven't any any problems with the wires.
