After getting engine back in car, new fluids and gasoline, my baby started right up with a couple pumps of the gas pedal. That new flex-plate did the trick...no more banging like ready to throw a rod, she just purrs like a kitten on mother's milk.

THANKS again for getting me on right track

Thats great Ron! One more Y-block back on the road.I noticed in your pic your ignition wires are draped over the top of the motor. They wont last too long like that with the heat. You need to get them in the brackets down the back and under.Anyway congrats and keep up the good work.Very satisfying when all is said and done-right?

Yea, I know about the wires...just wanted to make sure car was going to run, (had my fingers crossed but not sure) now I can run the wires, replace radiator and heater hoses, new fan belt, anti-freeze and distilled water, baby is going to get new set of tires, probably some new paint and I have new set of fender skirts ready to be painted and hung, then get the insurance man over here to take pictures so I can get Collectors Car insurance reinstated before I hit the streets.

My Miller Light celebration beer tastes like a $200. bottle of Champaign!
