Guys, I dont want to seem a whinger as i live for this site and content etc but after compiling story or article and hitting submit, a red message comes through saying it was not accepted by administrator or message content is not there! or words to that effect, either way, my article or reply has gone to heaven and have to try and recapture the vibe of the whole thing to do again, Frustrating is not the word.!!! It seems to happen if including reply to quote but also on new topic. I recall hoosier making similar comment. I usually save the message before hitting submit but didnt this morning and continueing update on that race car will have to be redone if i can recall the facts. regards bill.

Bill I too have had this problem and it is very frustrating but I have found that if it doesn't lock up and just comes back as lack of content or something I just add a little to the end. You may have noticed in some of my posts that it says "bla bla bla" at the end, that is all I had to do to get it accepted. Seems a little silly but it works for me. bla bla bla

This is by far my favorite site, great people on here, but.. frankly the freeze ups & access stalls are becoming a pain in the, you know where!

Bill, when I get the RED message my text is usually still there and that is when I add a few words and resubmit, I don't know about a blank page and as said before if it locks up you're lost. I love this site too but many times have beat my head against a wall after spending 15 -20 min. typing just to lose the text, the thought and the inspiration. You're not alone.

Wish I could help with this but it looks to be a code problem within the site and I suspect it’s Java Script related. I have the same issues with site lockups. When they do happen (which seems to be happening more frequently as of late) and if I was in the middle of posting, then I use the backup key to get back to the post that I was trying to submit, copy the text into the paste buffer, and then repaste it into a new post when the site unlocks itself or simply save it to a word processing program for later submission. Whereas the site would freeze up for ten minutes in the past, there are instances now where it locks up for twenty. Hope this helps.

Aussiebill, this happened numerous times to me also, I understand your frustration.
What I have done to alleviate some frustration is to write out the story or response in MS Word (or other word processor) first so I don’t lose it then copy and paste to the site.
Doesn’t help with the site problem, but helps with the beer consumption.

After my angst over that happening I now put my large posts on notebook, copy and paste, at my age trying to remember what I wrote is the most frustrating, just a band aide to the problem, but it works. Also just copying before posting should save it too. Gary

When i copy & paste from word or email, I get an error saying that I "cant post just HTML or pictures". I have to copy to wordpad then paste, and for some reason it then usually accepts it. It is colossally frustrating. I have lost count of how many times my responses either lock up or get bounced out....

I was just looking at pictures of Ted's car under "Racing" Y-Blocks on track and one of the pictures was a pop-up for Cox Cable in Spanish! WTH?
