Even the new Offy or Moon Y Block valve covers are around $260, which seems to be the standard rate for them, but alluminum valve covers for a SBC are like $90... Its crazy all around

They ended up going to $562, and they are cracked. Someone has too much money.

My name is Greg and I am addicted to Y's.

Went to the Grand National Roadster Show in Pomona,Ca. Saturday and Vic Jr was signing autographs at the Edelbrock display trailer. So I walked up and asked him about the tripower manifold for the Y-block and he said it was in tooling now and should be released to the public before summer to go with their new carbs, also should have progressive linkage for it too. Also stated that they had new valve covers and air cleaner for it! Asked if they were working on anything else for the "Y" and responded with a "NO". There goes the new dualquad manifold I was hoping for or headers.Must be jumping on the nostalgia bandwagon to make a buck.Maybe John will make a dualquad manifold setup for modern carbs--got 4 holes down how about 8!LOL   KID

I wonder about the new repop valve covers; whether they are EVER going to release Y stuff and how many limbs they want to charge for it. I know that are saying the "new" Holley 94's are ready- but I was unwilling to buy them because of the price. Cheaper to get a used one and rebuild it.

I checked Edelbrock, Jeg's, Summit, etc. No price listed and Summit and Jeg's don't list them in their catalogs as of a this morning. Very curious to see what they will be asking.

If any of you guys are on Facebook you can go to the "Edelbrock Performance" wall HERE, click that you "like" them, and then comment that you want them to re-pop their valve covers for y-blocks.

It seems to me by a few comments here and there that if the covers are remade, like most things  they,ll be too pricey for most so back to square one.Smile
