I've looked all over to find a waterpump with the ears cast onto the top for a high rise truck fan and can't find anything.  Does anyone know where I can find one?   Is there a trustworthy place I can send mine to and have it rebuilt? 

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Macs offers a rebuild kit but their truck water pumps appear to be discontinued. If nothing else I would check all the vintage Ford supplies online. Dennes Carpentier etc. Chuck in NH

if you are using that on 54or55 F100,you can use 56 radiator shroud

with the water pump carrying the fan. It's what I have on mine.

Hi Russ, you might check with ROCKAUTO. That's where I bought the last one I had. At that time they didn't require a "core" but I think they do now and they actually have yours reubilt.



NAPA should also be able to have yours rebuilt too as will other auto parts suppliers.





What truck are you putting it in?



I decided to use the "regular" pump on my 292 and will build my own "high-mount" fan drive. There's no way I can use a pump-mounted fan in my F-600 since the fan will contact the lower radiator hose.



I also bought a rebuild kit from MACS for my original water pump. It appears pretty easy to do if you have access to a hydraulic press.





Here's what Rock Auto says about their high mount pump.... This is for a 1956 F-series 272.

You didn't mention if you had a rebuildable core, or if you're looking to buy one to rebuild. Looks rough. But that's how they all start out until someone rebuilds them. Happy hunting.

I think that's the guy that recently bought my new high mount pump (the one that I bought from Rock Auto)



He came on here looking for a pump and asking questions about getting his rebuilt. I FEDEX'd him mine for about $80 total.



I think he said his engine was on a stationary pump or something. He never did tell me how it worked out!









It's either one or the other. not BOTH.



It would behoove someone that needs one to buy that core. There doesn't seem to be any more of them out there in radio land!!

Yeah....I sent him a message on it. That one IS a high mount pump for a 239.



If I remember correctly, when he came on here looking for a high mount for his 272, he said that he had already bought a pump but it didn't fit.



I told him that I would have kept the old one, and rebuilt to keep as a spare....but the 239 model is no good to him. Those are even more scarce than the 272/292 model high-mount pumps.....

Thanks for all the information and replys.  I am actually putting this in a 1932 Ford roadster.  I did not want to see another small block Chevy like the other 500,000 that have been built that way.  This is why I chose the Y-block.  I need the high rise so the fan is centered in the radiator.  I saw another y-block in a 32 years ago but the fan was very small and it was only at the bottom of the radiator.
