Last year some of us had problems with the site locking up, or failing to connect. Sometimes a "bad response from server" message. It got better as time passed, but since we moved into 2011 I seem to have a lot of these issues again. Anyone else having problems, or do I need to have someone look at my computer?

Happens to me too. If I wait a half hour or so and try again it usually works.

John. Jim did some site maintenance earlier today as a result of some site problems. Don’t be tearing your computer apart just yet. The site has its own head gasket problems that keep cropping up.

I suspected that something was being done with the site yesterday (1/30/11). Yesterday aside, the site frequently locks-up on me when I'm using the Forum section. Sometimes the 'lock-up' will occur when I'm just moving from one page of a topic entry to the next page of same. Like Paul, I leave the site and come back later. I certainly enjoy the site, value the generous sharing of information, and appreciate what is done to keep it going! Regards,

Sorry guys, I did a reboot of the forum yesterday and that usually makes it happy for a month or so, then I try to reboot it before it goes nuts again. It had a problem yesterday and I did restart it last night only to find that it had error-ed out again this morning. I'll keep working on it.
