This is an AC that came with the recently acquired 312.  I like its proportions and simplicity so am cleaning it up to put to use.  It was very dirty and rusty prior to the cleanup, like it had been around a long time.  The filter housing is 10+ in. in dia. and 4 in. tall.  The filter is 9.25 diam and 3.5 in. tall.  Any idea what it originally came on?  It looks too tall for a car, and all the stock filters I have seen, truck or car, have been oil bath.

if the filter has any numbers you could look that up and see if any y-blocks are on the list.

That's an idea.  I took in the old filter and NAPA sold me this new one.  Still have the box so numbers, yes.

Air cleaners like that were used on the F-500 trucks with 2 bbl carbs

I also found on the NAPA site that the same cartridge shown is used for 1960-1962 F-350 with 292.
