I'm slowly getting my wiring together using a Painless 18 circuit kit. Most things are working out ok, but I want a Gen/Alt light.
I'm using a Grossly Malevolent 3 wire alternator, and there are no instructions for the light. I would think the white(energizer) wire on one side with a switched positive wire to the other side might work, but am hesitant to experiment.
Anybody have any experience with this?

For some reason the wiring harness instructions leave out the warning light. The warning light needs to be cut into the brown wire coming from the ignition switch to the alternator plug. If you use an led light make sure you have the polarity right or the light won't work. An ordinary dash light will work but it needs to be a two wire light fitting connected in series with the alternator wire. From memory ther is a brown and a red going into the alternator plug. The red loops from the battery terminal of the alternator. Hope this helps
