can the pushrod adj screws be replace with the type that doesn't need a binding nut, using the old rockers? If you can were can you buy them? I look at mummert site and didn't see them

My thoughts you are better off with the lock nut type, the others have been known to back off when they get to old and worn. Gerry

I agree with Gerry, stay with the better lock nut type, it's muchhhhhhh better!!!! and more reliable.

I have both locknuts & hexhead friction screws (belt AND suspenders). Heavier valve gear, but easier to adjust accurately. And, adjustment never seems to change (aside from expected rocker/valve tip/iron seat wear).

Kansas The friction type pushrod adjusting screws are the same as those used in the 332-427 Ford FE engines. I believe they are still available at many auto part supply houses.

Watch out for the adjusters from Falcon they are so soft they wore noticeably by 1-200 miles. Had to replace them with some stock friction types and am now trouble free. MIKE
