A few years ago,at the Goodguys show in Des Moines, I saw a very nice 57 Bel Air with a Y block in it.Very satisfying.

I have seen numerous beautiful Hot Rod Fords with SBC and one swedish Hot Rod Chevy with 289 and that I remember better than the most.

That's just plain wrong. There was a nice 57 wagon, on the 57 fordsforever site with a chev small block in it. He was posting about scary, wicked steering on it. I asked him to post pics of the steering mods to clear the rear sump pan. Turns out whoever did the swap, welded a banana shaped piece of iron on the drag link to clear the pan. I recomended he fix the steering and lose the chev. He ran a long post on disassembling a smallblock ford to put in it. Then it was on ebay with the chev still in it.

People putting chevy engines in fords has been my pet peeve for years.  I dont know whats worse on this car, the 350 chevy, the to small chevy steering wheel, or the horrible looney tunes theme.

I always thought 60's fords were off limit, like there was a line you didn't cross.  Check the link.
