Hey guys.

Has anyone ever replaced the Speedo cable seal on the Fordomatic tranny. If so, is it an Oring? Does the cable spin making it difficult to get it back in to mate it to the speedo gear in the tranny?

I am hoping it is easy as pulling the cable, replacing the seal and pushing the cable back in and tightening the retainer clip.

Thanks

Nat:

Yes, it's an O ring.  Installation is as you described.  A little slick-um on the O ring helps installation.
