I have taken my time prepping this motor and making it look good before I put it in my truck. It actually looks to clean to even set next to it haha. Well Thhe motor is all done for the most part and I was going t bolt the bell and trans up to the motor but I just car bolt up something that looks old and crappy to a nice motor. I degreased the trans but it looks old and rusty. Should I paint the trans and bell? If so what color? I painted the motor gloss black and intake/exhaust manifolds are vht cast.

My opinion? Paint it the color YOU want it, it's YOUR truck, not mine.

One thing to consider, black hides leaks well which can make it difficult to find the source.

I used VHT 1300-2000 degree flame proof. It will definately hold up.
