Hello - I am restoring a 1954 Mercury Sun Valley. I am putting in a fresh 312 and a tri-power set-up. The end carbs are Ford and the center is a Holley with progressive linkage on the left (drivers) side. The problem I am having is that the original 2-bbl carb had "pull" linkage from the firewall while the tri-power requires "push" linkage. I assume I need a bellcrank type set-up but I'm not seeing anything while wandering around the web. know I am not the first guy to have this problem and I was hoping someone could tell me how they solved the problem and what parts they used. Thanks!

Are you "locked in" to these particular carbs? I'm sure you can rig a bell crank to work, but it seems it would be easier to use a set of pull carbs (and possibly look a lot cleaner).
I forgot the check when I went by the shop today, but I'm almost positive my Stromberg 97's are "pull".

I swapped out my bases for some of the aluminum from vintage speed. They made the linkage a breeze and with some phenolic spacers helped with heat soak. Although all mine were ford stamped Holley 94s the same bases should fit

Thank you. Your pictures help quite a bit. I looks like you have a bell crank on the center carb and the firewall linkage pulls from the bottom arm, causing the top arm to advance the throttle forward or "push". I knew I was going to need a bell crank of some type but I hadn't thought of putting it on the center carb. On my setup, the two end carbs are Ford 94 model 91-99 and the center carb is a Holley 94 model 2100. The set-up is designed to run on the center carb most of the time as it has the manual choke and idle adjustment screws. On hard acceleration, the end carbs are opened with the progressive linkage. I will attach a photo if I can figure out how to do it.
