Looks like I'll be putting my mid 50's Ford / Y-block purchase on hold for a while . I've narrowed it down to 53-54 Merc, ( or Canadian Monarch ) , 57 Ford   or 55-56 F110 . The plan would be 292 y-block power , auto trans and around 400 hp for ( mostly ) street .

I figured on about $25-30k for the above ...I'm too old for projects ...anf the $$$ would come from selling our house and using some equity . My wife is in ill health , can't do stairs , and a big apartment would work .

I used to be in retail sales for 25+ years , know what it takes , do my homework etc ........fired the realtor after 2 months . It seems they like to work on you the seller , to lower your price and make it easy for them to sell . Yeah , right . What a racket . I'll give it another year or so and sell it myself .

Meanwhile I'll continue to enjoy this forum and see the passion that you guys have for the Y-block ....very inspiring .
