We left this morning and made it to about 20 miles from St Louis. 804 miles. Our youngest boy graduates from basic training tuesday.

That is great Dennis, I remember going up to Ft Jackson for my son's graduation. You are going to be surprised at the change in your son, I promise.

Well we made it to Lawton OK this evening. My butt is sore from sitting. 1409 miles one way. Looking forward to see Dan tomorrow. Thanks Glenn, I hope they taught him how to read a map. He relied on a GPS too much. Alan, I'm sorry it didn't work out. I wanted to call before Tulsa, but it came up on me before I was ready and traffic was heavier than St. Louis.

Sounds like he can make his own bed now. Mom won't have to. As for map reading, he was in a group. Someone else did it. He seems more polite though.
