Not without a lot of work. The water passages don't line up. The cast iron web at cylinders 4 and 8 isn't heavy enough to seal the head gasket.

In addition to the fitment issues, I think the compression ratio would be extremely low.

My brother had a 239 head and it had small chambers, smaller than the Gs.

If the cast iron webs at cylinders 4 and 8 are not heavy enough, would the sealing problem be the same using the original EBU heads?

I believe sometime back, Ted may have done an estimated CC calculation of the EBU head, maybe the high sixties or low seventies, using two variables.

No, the water passage on the EBU heads are in a different location so sealing isn't a problem if you have 239 gaskets. If you scroll down to the topic- steel shim head gaskets- and look at the differences at cylinder #4 you can see the different water passages.
