I have located a set of Y-Block heads # OK12, can't find that number anywhere. Does anybody know about these heads?

I have located a set of Y-Block heads # OK12, can't find that number anywhere. Does anybody know about these heads?


Certainly not a relative number, look in john mummerts site and there is list of heads etc. usually numbers are between exhaust ports or under the water inlet casting hole near intake port.

As Alan brings up, that number you posted could be a date code. Besides looking under the water jacket ports where the intake manifold bolts on to the heads for the something that looks like a head casting number, also look in the valve train area or on the deck surface where the heads bolt to the block.

I found the number C3TE 6090 B with a date code of 10/13/66

They are '63 truck heads, and as such would be low compression with small intake valves.
