I just called the track in Columbus and RB is right the track opens at 11 AM on Friday. It will be a mess to get in, and they said that even if you got there Thursday that you will still have to be in line as well. Also, the gate will close at 5 PM Thursday. The reason they gave me was a new promoter!

I'm kinda glad they're opening at 11:00. It means I can sleep! I haven't had much during the past couple weeks, getting things ready and it doesn't look like I'll get much before I leave.

Just for kicks I used Charlies link and contacted the NMRA Promedia people and mentioned that opening the gate that late may create traffic problems and this was their reply.

The scheduled time for opening the gate is 11am. If there is a large line Friday morning, we will open the gate at 8:30 or 9 and start parking.
