Hi guys.
Does anyone know the procedure and order of removing the stainless trim. Has anyone ever replaced a windshield on a 57 Tbird?
I live in Canada and my not sure if any glass shop can do the job without any experience on working on classic cars. I am concerned the stainless steel may get damaged.
Can you advise on what other parts, clips etc I might need to replace. My stainless is show quality and I want to be sure it stays that way.

Thanks

I haved replaced a lot of T-Bird windshields, very easy job.You just have to be careful to not force the stainless, also be very carfull to not bend the inner spacer pieces in the rubber gasket. You will see these once you have the outer trim off.

You have to put the stainless on the gasket before you install the windshield.

Thanks guys for the response. Can you give me some more detail on removal. Perhaps some steps on how the pieces come off. Does windshield come off with all inner & outer stainless trim still attached? Is the windshield installed with the stainless trim attached to the Weather strip?

Thanks
