By easyissy - 13 Years Ago This may sound like a dumb question but I just want to make sure. Do the rear shocks on a '58 Ford Custom 300 mount in front of the rear axle or behind the rear axle??? If you don't have a copy of the books, there are copies everywhere of them on disk. I got a copy from Dan Jessup (a member on this site) and downloaded them in PDF form from Dave ( one of the moderators on the square bird forum). All I have for books is the '58 Ford Service Manual which does'nt show exploded views and I always forget to take pics when I disassemble something.
