Thanks Rick, thats what I needed to see. All I have for books is the '58 Ford Service Manual which does'nt show exploded views and I always forget to take pics when I disassemble something. BigGrin

If you don't have a copy of the books, there are copies everywhere of them on disk. I got a copy from Dan Jessup (a member on this site) and downloaded them in PDF form from Dave ( one of the moderators on the square bird forum).

A must have resource for working on our cars with exploded views of almost everything.

Thanks. The rear end on this was lowered quite a bit so it just did'nt look right. I just wanted to make sure. BigGrin

They will only fit one way, ahead of the axle.

This may sound like a dumb question but I just want to make sure. Do the rear shocks on a '58 Ford Custom 300 mount in front of the rear axle or behind the rear axle???
