I have a 1955 Ford Customline with a 312 Y-Block. Is there supposed to be a ground strap from the engine to the frame?  If so, where does it bolt on the motor and the frame?  Thanks~~~~~Ron

Tough:

On my T-Birds, it is between the back 3/8 bolt on the left head and the firewall.  Don't know about a sedan.  Come to think of it, the frame doesn't really need grounded unless there is an accessory like an electric fuel pump there.

Thanks to all for the input. I found the one between the Intake Manifold and the Firewall. I'll look for the one on the Steadyrest to frame tomorrow. If it is missing, I'll run a ground strap from a bellhousing bolt to the frame. That way the engine to body will be grounded and the engine to frame will be grounded the way Old Henry designed it to work.          Thanks~~~~Ron

OK!!! Found both ground straps. Engine to firewall and Front Engine Steadyrest to front crossmember . Cleaned all four connections and now have a perfect ground. Thanks to all for your input~~~~~~~~~Ron
