I have my 57 Chassis stripped out for rebuild and have a burning question I would like some advice on. The original welding on the chassis box sections that joins the two halves together is pretty average to look at and quality varies throughout its length, some parts stitched some fully welded. The question is has anyone any thoughts on fully welding all the welds over? Would this make the frame too rigid? I figure its lasted 50 years now and Ford probably knew what they were doing, so am undecided?
Any thoughts on this topic appreciated
