Hi all, had a few Australian '56, '57, '58,s in my (long lost) youth. Finally found myself able to handle another one. Unfortunately the car of my dreams requires a full engine rebuild as the 272 in it is badly in need of reborn having had a piston crack. Heavily tapered bores with huge ridges etc. now need advice on whether to go with 272+ .060 or 292 pistons, what brand, where to source in Australia etc. Parts from USA are prohibitive.
Also trying to find a useable '56 grille assembly. Live close to Melbourne Victoria.
My new pride and joy is a '56 Tudor. Can't wait to get on the road again with that yblock purring..

Welcome to the site, I am sure some of the Mates from down under will jump in and give advice on where to source parts in your area. Best advice I can give you is have a good machine shop check the block before you start gathering parts.
