Hello everybody, I,m a bit of a newbie on here .. haven,t posted much but I have been checking things out here and am amazed at the wealth of information. I built an A model coupe a couple of years ago - Y block power of course. Been more than happy with it but cant leave things alone, so I am building a new engine for it with the intention of making a lot more power. I have a lot of parts on the way over here but I,m having trouble finding someone that sells water pump kits.. any of you guys know of a supplier? All the suppliers that list them seem to be out of stock, the truck pump kits with the 3/4 shaft are available but not the car type with 5/8 shaft. I dont really want to buy another complete pump because they are easy to rebuild and I have plenty of cores..

I've been getting the 5/8" shaft rebuilt water pumps from O'Reilly in both rebuilt and new. I haven't looked for the 5/8" rebuild kits though but have been able to get the 3/4" rebuild kits although I haven't found a supplier for the rebuilt 3/4" shaft water pumps.

When Pegleg built the aluminium pumps he sourced the bearings and seals somewhere. Maybe he will see this thread and respond.

Met this guy at the Charlotte Auto Fair. Said he has kits for 5/8 and can rebuild 3/4.

Well thanks a lot for your help guys!! Cowboy Johns turned out to be the one with some rebuild kits ... ordered them and they are on their way, I would never have found them without your help!

It never fails to amaze me. I can add yet another potential parts supplier to my Bookmarks list. Thanks.
