The voltage out put was 12.4 at idle and 14 when revved. How do I check grounds?

I will try the voltage output when I get home. It should be around 12 when off and 14 on right?

Have you checked the voltage output on the charging system?  Also recheck all the engine grounds.  Performing a pressure and volume check on the fuel pump would also help to potentially isolate the problem.

Possibly a condenser or coil failing?  This could be showing up as the engine is heating up.  By checking the color of the spark from the coil wire that is removed from the distributor while turning the engine over with the key 'on', this can help to determine if the ignition system is 'weak'.  White or bright blue is a good strong spark.  Yellow or orange on the spark indicates a breaking down ignition that could be due to a variety of reasons.

I need some help!!! When I start my car it runs good at a idle when cold. Once the engine heats up the car bogs down and looses all power and some times dies. I have noticed the fuel filter was low so mabey it's a fuel issue? Also when I put it into gear the gen light comes on! So Mabey 2 issues. I checked the oil and it didn't appear to have water in it such as a blown head gasket. I do have headers do Mabey a vapor lock issue? Fuel pump? I don't know where to start
