I've got to replace a rusty floor and rocker panel--driver's side only--and am researching a supplier for quality material that's the correct thickness and fits reasonably well.  I know the usual sources, e.g., Carpenters, Mac's, Concourse, but I don't know anything about their sheet metal.  And I don't know if there are other suppliers I should consider.  I know a lot of forum members have already been through this and I would really appreciate any advice on where to buy these replacement pieces.  As always, thanks for your help.  Ron

I would try local shops and compare prices. By the time sheet metal is shipped it can be pricey. Chuck

Check EMS, they are the most expensive, but you get what you pay for.

Glen--Sorry, but not familiar with what EMS stands for.  Do you have a website you can post?  Thanks, Ron...

I'm in total agreement with Glenn, EMS http://www.hotrodssheetmetal.com/19foshme2.html I had to replace the rear floor on the drivers side and rear quarter panel on the passenger side of my Ranchwagon and the fit and construction are outstanding.

I bought an inner quarter panel from FRPS http://www.frpartsstore.com and it didn't come close to fitting. Should have know by the price, haha. $145.00 vs $28.00. But I thought since FRPS is owned by the president of The Crown Vic Assoc. it wouldn't be junk, but it was... Get what you pay for.

I also used EMS for all the sheet metal panels for the 37 Coupe. I mean EVERYTHING. The coupe was really far gone! They had just about everything I needed; Big block recessed firewall, transmission tunnel, complete floors (front and rear), trunk, rear tool tray, rear roll pan, lower cowl sections and quarter panels. Some of those parts would have been very difficult to fabricate out of flat sheet metal stock. BUT some of the pieces, like the quarter panels that include the door seal areas did not have the crisp bends like the original door seal areas and the panels themselves were 1/4" too short overall from front to back for a perfect fit. It seemed as though the dies that were used for the stampings were either worn out or not as good a quality as maybe you are seeing on the 50's Fords. I'm not complaining and I'm glad they had all those panels. I'm just sayin'.

Don't know why but I was thinking flat sheets not replacement panels. Chuck
