The 225/60 15's and 235/60 15's on the bird are late model T/A's. Fine, wet or dry, and in Seattle mostly wet.
Supply on those can be a problem, it seems like they make short runs, and then go out of stock for a while. At least with the supply to DB.

What about BFGoodrich T/A
I've been told these are much better than the original "Aqua skid" treads, as there grooves are larger.

Some authorities claim you should replace tires on an age basis. I think 7 years is over the limit. I would not necessarily consider that a problem with tires that old but my reproduction Goodyear bias ply's are way older than that and have not failed yet, although they are starting to weather crack and I will be replacing them as soon as I get it back on the road again.

I don't have anything against coker, I drove them for years on the 'bird, and have their bias plys on the roadster. But currently I have two sets of diamond back, one set T/A's, one real wide 17" Nitto's. If they ever get the radial "bias look a likes" in my size, the coker's on the roadster will be replaced. I just feel modern tire are better, and when I overcook a corner, or am hard on the brakes, I don't care so much what they look like.

I'm on my 2nd set of Diamond backs and very happy with them. I got great service. The one thing they made me awareof is when cleaning use SIMPLE GREEN or something similar  and it really works great...keeps the whitewall white and not "chalky".

I agree. Had mine made from high-end Michellins. After road-force balancing, they performed flawlessly for many years. White walls stay white also.

I'm very pleased with my Coker Wide white walls, I chose the Coker Classics.
