I have put the camshaft gear on with all the spacers that I have I only have the eccentric the round washer spacer and the camshaft plate spacer with the key cutout in it but there is still quite a bit of end play. Is that normal or am I missing something.

The cam plate spacer is not the one with the keyway cutout. Your stack up is wrong. The cam plate spacer is round with a very generous chamfer in the ID which goes against the camshaft. That is the one that controls end play, in conjunction with the thrust plate.

Ok well the one I have that does not have a key way has virtually no chamfer. I am using a 57 cam would that make a differance from a 63 cam which is what came off the engine?
