Yep.............I'm talking about removing the black knob from the crank for rechroming. I've had bad experiences with reproduction pieces..........peeling, yellowing etc. ~~~~~~~~~Thanks....Ron

Ron: You should be able to remove the somewhat Ohm shaped spring clip with one of those cheap flat tin notched handle removers, available at most parts stores. There usually painted black. Insert/push it in from the operating side of the handle. It should push the clip out. Sometimes, depending on how the plastic washer which has an inner raised area was last installed, it can be a bit difficult to get the tool to engage properly. Try to be patient!

Does anyone know of a way to remove the knobs off the window crank arms without breaking them and can you reuse them on other arms after being removed? All input appreciated~~~~~Thanks......Ron
