I'm having John Mummert build a 292/318 for my 57 Ranchero.Will a MSD dirtributor fit without firewall issues?I have a 6AL box. and have been running a FE engine.Thanks, Louie

It should fit.  I believe it is actually a little smaller than stock.

I have a pro billet MSD in my 292 and it's smaller in diameter than the original load-o-matic. They also look great with the Hi-tension lead lock in plate.

The MSD 8383 does have fit issues, put one in my 56, no problem with firewall but had to machine the rear of a BT intake to fit, here's an old discussion with mention of the 57 year fit. Might help you to make it work, it's worth it.
