Is the carburetor the one with the check ball instead of the umbrella valve on the accelerator pump??
if so, I rebuilt one for a friend's '57 Ford, and used the regular diaphragm. The kit came with a little extension (just a little metal rod) to be used in that particular model of carburetor.
You can get a regular diaphragm, and cut a piece of the rod from your original part and use it as a extension.
