Randy, Somewhere I have a color picture, of the engine compartment of the Fireball Roberts #22 clone that Tom Kitchen built, while not an original car it is very close. And would give you an idea of what they would look like. I will see if I can find it and post it. Tom

Really like this picture, does anyone have a color picture of engine compartment from one of these NASCAR 'F' cars?

Tom, That made more sense. There was a kit with a McCullough VS in 55/56 but it was dealer installed. wouldn't be legal in AMA or NASCAR I wouldn't think.

Frank, I was talking about the 4 57 Fords in the first picture on the beach.
Mark, Ralph Moody told me the exhaust were run thru the taillight housings for ground clearance on the beach course and also they would be radiator high and might make a following car over heat on the short tracks.

Chuck, The bumper treatment was not for "AERO " but to keep those big things from Hooking on other cars.
