Timmy,55-57 have the same timing marks on damper.When I had the damper off mine last week I cleaned the damper up and painted it black.Then marked the timing line with thin white paint for a permanent marking.Also put a mark at at 90,180, and 270 degree on damper for future valve adjusting.Very hard to make these marks when on the car.The first line is TDC.Then 2,4,6,8,10.Manual trans is 3 and auto is 6 BTC.Hope this helps.

  

A friend and I tried to decifer the marks on the vibration dapener and we could not figure out which one was 3 degrees so I could timme the distributor what order do the marks go there is 6 marks that we saw.
