That would be a question to ask of the cam grinder, but I would think something around 100# on the seat and 250# open would get you to 6500 rpm safely with all but the wildest of cams.

Thanks John. I was thinking the same way. So far the lack of posted heads has not been a problem (I think). I have a set of 471's that have sodium filled valves in them. At some later date I'll change the guides to correct that and set them up to use.

What would you recommed for a valve spring pressure with a hot street/blower cam? Chuck in NH

ECZ-B heads are '56 heads.  They would not have come from Ford with 1.94 valves.  My guess is someone has put the bigger valves in sometime.  They may be just the ticket for your blown engine, low compression and big valves.  Not posted though.

I have a set of ECZ-B heads. They have the freeze plugs in the front BUT have the 1.92" valves. John's site lists them as either 8 or 8.4 to 1 compression ratio but with 1.72" intakes. Anybody seen these before? Chuck in NH
