Can anyone point me to a wiring diagram for the engine bay of my 59 Galaxie 292 2bbl? I had taped the wires for the Generator to identify them but the tape is no longer legible.

Thanks,
Dave

This might help you - it was taken off my 56 TBird but most of the Fords were wired the same with the same color codes.

The large wire, which may be yellow with a black tracer goes on the back of the generator

The top pole on the generator may be black with a red tracer

The bottom pole (F for Field) may be black with a white tracer.

Hope this helps.

You can check the small wires with an ohm meter or continuity checker. They have identification on both the generator and regulator. I think one is field and the other ground.
